Svetlana Buryakov, MS, LCSW-R

Svetlana Buryakov, MS, MSW, LCSW-R graduated from Pace University 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts, Hunter College 2002 with a Master’s in Science and Fordham University 2009 with a Master’s in Social Work. Currently, Svetlana is in private practice.

She has worked with a diverse population of people from different cultures, religions, socioeconomic backgrounds and different countries.  Svetlana works with women, men, elderly, young adults, couples and LGBTQIA+ community. She utilizes different techniques including an assortment of treatment options such as eclectic approach, psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment and Dialectical Behavioral Treatment. In her work with Patients, Svetlana uses an existential approach to counseling for patients who are seeking a positive change. Svetlana encourages patients to live authentically. She has worked with survivors of trauma, abuse and domestic violence. 

Svetlana Buryakov, LCSW-R works directly with patients with comorbidity and varying clinical complications including chronic pain, medical issues, anxiety, depression and neuropsychological ailments. Furthermore, Svetlana has worked with people who have experienced complicated grief and addiction. Svetlana offers a unique experience that will help you be your best self during a time of change and unrest. She will help guide you through the process of looking back to go forward and progress in your life.
